Cookie Management: analytics choices and privacy controls
This Cookie Management page explains how Hyde Workshop uses cookies, local storage, tags, consent signals, and related browser technologies on HydeWorkshop.com.
Google AdSense advertising is currently paused. The active consent interface controls optional Google Analytics storage while necessary security and preference storage remain available.
Purpose and scope
This page applies to HydeWorkshop.com and the single global consent interface displayed by the website. This page reopens that interface; it does not load a separate consent system. It supplements the Privacy Policy and should be read with the Terms of Service.
Browser technologies may recognize a browser, remember a privacy preference, support security, measure site use, or allow a third-party feature to operate. They do not always identify a visitor by name.
Technologies Hyde Workshop uses
Cookies
Small browser files used by the site or an approved provider for security, preferences, and consent-aware measurement.
Local storage
First-party browser storage uses the hwcc2-consent-v9 record to remember the analytics choice, consent version, update time, and expiration time.
Tags and scripts
Code used for page operation, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics when the applicable consent state permits it.
Consent signals
Google Consent Mode signals that communicate whether analytics storage is granted or denied. Advertising signals remain denied while AdSense is paused.
Current storage categories
Necessary
Supports security, page delivery, basic functionality, form protection, and storage of the visitor's privacy preference.
Optional analytics
Supports Google Analytics measurement of visits, page performance, traffic sources, and content usefulness after the visitor accepts analytics.
Necessary technologies are not controlled by the analytics toggle. Blocking all browser storage may prevent the website from remembering your choice and may affect security or site functionality.
Consent defaults and Google Consent Mode
On a first visit, optional analytics storage is denied. Advertising storage, advertising user-data consent, and advertising personalization remain denied because AdSense delivery is paused.
When a visitor accepts or rejects analytics, the site stores the choice in first-party local storage and sends a corresponding Google Consent Mode update. Consent Mode does not itself create the banner; it communicates the saved choice to Google tags.
Google tags may send limited consent-state or cookieless requests while analytics storage is denied. Normal Analytics browser identifiers are restricted according to the active consent state.
Consent is browser-specific. A choice made in one browser, profile, device, or private session may not apply to another.

| Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics | Consent-aware tag delivery and aggregate website measurement when analytics is accepted. | Optional analytics |
| Google AdSense | The account and European regulations message may remain configured, but public AdSense delivery is paused during the site rebuild. | Inactive |
| YouTube and other external media | May receive network and interaction information when a visitor activates or loads third-party media. | Third-party media |
How to manage your choice
- Use an Open cookie settings control on this page or in the site footer.
- Accept or reject optional Google Analytics storage.
- Save the choice. The Consent Mode state updates on the same page.
- Reopen settings at any time to withdraw or grant analytics consent.
- Repeat the choice in other browsers, profiles, private sessions, or devices.
Browser controls can also block or delete cookies and local storage, but broad blocking may affect functionality. Learn more about Google's processing on partner sites in Google's partner-sites notice (opens in a new tab) .
Retention and expiration
The current analytics choice is stored in the browser for up to 180 days, unless you reset it, clear site data, use a private session, or Hyde Workshop changes the consent version.
Google Analytics data retention is also controlled by the active Analytics property settings, consent state, aggregation practices, and Google's current retention rules.
Advertising and European messages
Hyde Workshop is not currently serving Google AdSense advertising. The Google European regulations message may remain published in the AdSense account for future use, but it is not the active site-wide analytics consent interface while the AdSense tag is paused.
Before AdSense is re-enabled, Hyde Workshop should re-test the Google-certified consent message, avoid displaying competing consent interfaces, update this page, and verify advertising consent signals in Tag Assistant.
Hyde Workshop does not sell personal information for money. Privacy or opt-out requests may be sent to contact@hydeworkshop.com.
Embedded media and external services
YouTube and other external media providers may receive IP address, device, browser, page, account, cookie, and interaction information when their content loads or when you activate it. Hyde Workshop should use delayed or click-to-load embeds where practical.
The analytics choice in the Hyde Workshop banner does not automatically change every independent third-party embed. Review the destination provider's current privacy and cookie documentation before signing in or activating external media.
Changes to this page
Hyde Workshop may update this page when consent controls, providers, retention, advertising status, embedded media, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted with a new effective date and version number.
