Privacy Policy: 7 data rights and safer controls

  • Status: Active
  • Effective: July 24, 2026
  • Version: 6.3
  • Operator: Hyde Workshop

This Privacy Policy explains how Hyde Workshop collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit HydeWorkshop.com, submit a contact form, send an email, use privacy controls, or interact with analytics and embedded content. Google AdSense advertising is currently paused, and advertising-related consent signals remain denied.

Hyde Workshop is an informational website focused on AI tools, supervised workflows, WordPress, Elementor, creative systems, and related technology. The site is operated from the United States.

SECTION_01

Scope and operator

This policy applies to HydeWorkshop.com and the website features that link to it. Hyde Workshop is the website operator and is responsible for the personal information it controls. Third-party websites, AI tools, social platforms, video services, and other external destinations have their own privacy practices.

This policy does not replace the privacy notice of a third party you choose to visit. Review that provider's current terms and privacy documentation before creating an account, uploading files, connecting a service, or submitting confidential information.

SECTION_02

Information Hyde Workshop collects

The information collected depends on how you use the site. Hyde Workshop seeks to collect only what is reasonably necessary for the purpose shown.

Categories of information, sources, and examples
Category Examples Source
Contact identifiers Name, email address, organization name, and other contact details you choose to provide. Directly from you through WPForms, email, or another contact channel.
Project and communication data Messages, page or workflow URLs, tools, platforms, blockers, desired results, urgency, scope or budget range, and attachments you choose to send. Directly from you.
Device and network data IP address, browser and device type, operating system, request headers, timestamps, referring page, and security or error-log information. Automatically from your browser, the web server, hosting, caching, and security services.
Usage and measurement data Pages viewed, general interactions, traffic source, approximate region inferred from IP, analytics events, and pseudonymous identifiers when analytics is enabled. Automatically through site logs and, depending on your choice, Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
Privacy preference data Consent categories, choice timestamps, preference version, and browser privacy signals when available. From your browser and Hyde Workshop's consent controls.

Do not send secrets or sensitive records. Do not submit passwords, API keys, authentication codes, payment-card data, government identifiers, medical information, private customer lists, or confidential client records through the contact form or Project Brief Builder.

The Project Brief Builder on the Contact page runs in your browser. Its draft fields are not submitted to Hyde Workshop unless you copy the brief into WPForms, open and send the generated email, or otherwise transmit it.

SECTION_03

How information is used

Purpose_01

Operate and secure the website

Deliver pages, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, maintain availability, remember privacy choices, and protect site infrastructure.

Purpose_02

Respond to requests

Review project details, answer messages, provide requested information, and take steps you ask for before a potential service relationship.

Purpose_03

Measure and improve content

Understand aggregate traffic, page performance, content usefulness, and navigation patterns when analytics is permitted.

Purpose_04

Consent and measurement controls

Apply saved analytics preferences, maintain Google Consent Mode signals, and keep advertising-related consent denied while AdSense is paused.

Purpose_05

Comply and protect

Meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce site terms, preserve records, and establish or defend legal claims.

Purpose_06

Honor privacy choices

Apply saved consent settings, process access or deletion requests, and respond to opt-out choices where required.

Where a law requires a legal basis, Hyde Workshop generally relies on: consent for optional analytics; legitimate interests for site security, necessary operation, and service improvement where those interests do not override your rights; steps taken at your request for project inquiries; and legal obligations when processing is required by law.

Hyde Workshop does not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about visitors.

SECTION_04

Cookies, analytics, and embedded media

Hyde Workshop uses cookies, local storage, tags, and similar technologies for necessary operation, privacy preferences, and consent-aware measurement. Necessary storage supports security, page operation, and remembering privacy choices. Optional analytics can be changed at any time using an "Open cookie settings" control on the site.

Necessary
Security, page delivery, fraud prevention, accessibility, and consent-preference storage.
Analytics
Google Analytics and Tag Manager measurement used to understand visits, performance, traffic sources, and content usefulness when permitted.
Advertising status
Google AdSense delivery is paused. Advertising storage, advertising user-data consent, and advertising personalization remain denied in the current site implementation.
Embedded media
YouTube or another media provider may receive device, network, and interaction data when you activate embedded content. Hyde Workshop uses click-to-load video where implemented to reduce pre-click requests.
Consent record
The current consent choice is stored in the browser for up to 180 days unless you reset it, clear site data, use a private session, or the consent version changes.

Hyde Workshop uses Google Consent Mode with optional analytics storage denied by default on a first visit. The saved analytics choice is restored before Google Tag Manager loads. Advertising-related consent signals remain denied while AdSense is paused. Google tags may still send limited consent-state, cookieless, or redacted requests while analytics storage is denied.

Hyde Workshop is not currently serving Google AdSense advertisements. Before advertising is re-enabled, Hyde Workshop should update this policy, re-test the Google-certified European regulations message, prevent competing consent interfaces, and verify advertising consent signals.

Media

YouTube

Safety

Hosting and security providers

Abuse detection, logging, backups, site integrity, availability, and incident response.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; investigate abuse or security incidents; protect visitors, Hyde Workshop, or others; enforce site terms; complete a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of website assets; or follow your direction or consent.

SECTION_06

Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

Hyde Workshop does not sell personal information for money and is not currently serving targeted advertising through Google AdSense. Optional Google Analytics can be accepted or rejected through the site's cookie settings.

Some privacy laws use broad definitions of "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising. Before advertising technology is re-enabled, Hyde Workshop should reassess those disclosures and consent controls. You may send a privacy or opt-out request to contact@hydeworkshop.com.

Hyde Workshop does not knowingly use or disclose personal information of visitors under 16 for sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

SECTION_07

Data retention

Hyde Workshop keeps personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, site security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or a continuing business relationship. The following criteria guide retention.

Retention criteria
Record Typical retention approach
Contact and project messages Kept while responding or working with you, then reviewed for deletion after 24 months of inactivity unless a longer period is needed for contracts, taxes, disputes, or legal obligations.
Consent preferences Stored in the current browser for up to 180 days, or until reset, cleared, expired, or replaced by a new consent version.
Analytics data Controlled by the saved analytics choice, active Google Analytics property settings, aggregation practices, and Google's retention rules. AdSense delivery is paused.
Server and security logs Kept for the limited period configured by hosting and security providers or longer when needed to investigate an incident.
Backups and legal records Retained through ordinary backup cycles or for the period required to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute obligations.

Aggregated or deidentified information that can no longer reasonably identify a person may be kept for analysis, security, and reporting.

SECTION_08

Data security

Hyde Workshop uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards suited to the nature of the website and information processed. Measures may include encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls, updates, backups, spam and abuse prevention, logging, and service-provider security features.

No website, email system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. Do not send secrets or highly sensitive information through ordinary contact forms or email. If you believe information submitted to Hyde Workshop is at risk, contact Hyde Workshop promptly.

Hyde Workshop may ask for enough information to verify identity and protect records, but do not send a government ID unless specifically requested through a suitable method.

An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. Hyde Workshop may ask for proof of authority and direct identity verification. Hyde Workshop will not discriminate against a visitor for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Browser "Do Not Track" signals do not have one universally accepted technical standard. Use the site's "Cookie settings" control or send a privacy request for a clearer choice.

SECTION_10

Regional privacy disclosures

United States state privacy laws

Where an applicable state law covers Hyde Workshop's processing, the categories described in Section 2 also serve as a notice of the personal information collected. In the preceding 12 months, Hyde Workshop may have collected identifiers, internet or network activity, approximate location derived from IP, communications, and inferences related to site use. Those categories may have been disclosed to the provider categories in Section 5 for business, security, and consent-aware analytics purposes.

Hyde Workshop does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about visitors. Do not submit sensitive information through basic site forms.

EEA, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions

Where applicable, visitors may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, receive portable information, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

SECTION_11

Children's privacy

Hyde Workshop is a general-audience technology website and is not directed to children under 13. Hyde Workshop does not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without any notice and consent required by law. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, email Hyde Workshop so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

SECTION_12

International visitors and transfers

Hyde Workshop operates from the United States. Site providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, Hyde Workshop and its providers rely on applicable contracts, consent, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

SECTION_13

Changes to this policy

Hyde Workshop may update this Privacy Policy when site features, providers, data practices, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date and version number. Material changes may also be highlighted through a site notice or consent prompt when appropriate.
